CHAMPAGNE SWING

Hot jazz with a continental flavour: violin, guitar and double bass.

Music inspired by the great recordings of Django Reinhardt and Stéphane Grappelli. "Gipsy jazz" style, a light jazzy bounce to make you smile!

We play a selection of swinging jazz standards, traditional gypsy folk tunes, french musette, walzes and bossanovas.

Champagne Swing have played at palaces, galleries and mansions as well as small events in gardens and restaurants.  We aren't precious - we enjoy playing together and people appreciating the music we make.

People are often kind enough to offer warm feedback.  Here is a short selection...

"We all loved the music.  I had so many compliments.      It was perfect for the occasion.  So thanks again to you and of course to your excellent fellow musicians. I must say they seemed as lovely a group of people as they were excellent musicians, no wonder you look and sound like you’re having such fun."  - Rob

"My huge thanks to you and all in Champagne Swing for your excellent music on Tuesday evening at our St George's Banquet on board HQS Wellington - really uplifting stuff that added greatly to the convivial atmosphere of the evening." - Tony

"Everyone thought the music was fantastic, I received lots of positive feedback and my only complaint is that wandering off for photos meant I had less time to listen to you." - Andrea, bride

"Everyone really appreciated your music... Matt was especially impressed at how you looked like you were really enjoying yourselves, and I loved the harmonica! It was perfect." - Amy, bride

"Thank you for the fabulous music that you and your band played on our wedding day at Le Manoir. Our guests were really impressed particularly my uncles who like their jazz." - Fiona & Karl
